Ingredients
All of our products are made with glycerin soap base and cosmetic-grade colors, scents and (sometimes) glitter.
Some of our products have goodies like toy dinosaurs embedded in them, or may look and smell yummy enough to eat. Therefore, we ask that you use common sense in deciding when your child is old enough to use our soaps only on the hands, and not in the mouth!
Some of our products are handpainted with soap-specific paints. The paint on soaps is largely for decorative purposes. Some people keep their painted soaps just to look and smell pretty in their bathroom or on their dresser. If you want to actually wash your hands (!), here's what extensive testing by the 4 Sisters Soaps crew has found: Wet your hands and then rub on the unpainted parts of your soap. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Glycerin – 100% Vegetable Certified Kosher Glycerin
Sodium Cocoate - from coconut. A surfactant used as an emulsifying and cleaning agent
Sodium Palmitate – Ph-balancer. From Palm oil. Non-detergent surfactant
Sucrose - Pure Sugar
Propylene Glycol -Derived from vegetable glycerin or seaweed. The most common moisture carrying ingredient other than water used in cosmetics because it moisturizes better than glycerin.
Deionized Water – water with all chlorine and all toxic ions removed
TEA Lauryl Sulfate - A mild, high foaming, anionic cleanser. It is free-rinsing and hard-water resistant.
Acetamide MEA – Used as a Stabilzer and antioxidant.
Cocomidopropyl Betaine - A cleaner made from coconut. It is used as an emulsifier, thickener, foam boaster and conditioner. Considered to be one of the more gentle surfactants used in skin-care products
Titanium Dioxide – in opaque soaps
Fragrances: Our current scent choices are: spicy cinnamon, orange creamsicle, lemon sugar, tart apple, fresh strawberry, intense vanilla, ultra-chocolate, fresh peppermint, Victorian tea rose, honeysuckle flower, and soapy scent. All soaps can also be made unscented. We always have a few sample scents around, so if you don't see what you're looking for, just ask!
